SU Recognizes More Than 200 Employees with 2026 Service Awards

SALISBURY, MD---¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ recently recognized some 204 employees with more than 2,900 combined years of service to the University at its annual Faculty and Staff Service Awards reception.

Four employees were recognized for a milestone 40 years of service: Dr. Kashi Khazeh (Finance), Dr. Asif Shakur (Physics), Cheryl Twilley (Physical Plant), and Dr. John Wenke (English).

Those recognized for 35 years included Wanda Dale (University Dining Services) and Sherman Wood (Athletics).

Jeffrey Canada (Procurement), Dr. Charisse Chappell (Psychology), Dr. Mary DiBartolo (Nursing), Raymond Fantini (Information Technology), Reba Matthews (University Dining Services), Candice Polk (University Dining Services), Iva Riggin (Conference Services), Julia Senkbeil (Information Technology), Christine Smith (Creative Services and Brand Strategy), Dr. Bart Talbert (History), Karen Treber (General Counsel), Judy Twilley (University Dining Services), and Dale Williams (Physical Plant) were lauded for 30 years.

Recognized for 25 years of service were Theresa Bailey (Physical Plant), Bill Burke (Information Systems and Operations), Lisa Chase (Information Technology), Dr. Melissa Granger (Academic Affairs), Dr. Heather Holmes (Center for Student Achievement), Iris Jenkins (Curriculum Resource Center), Stephen Johnson (University Dining Services), Dr. Dean Kotlowski (History), Nancy Leggs (Print and Digital Imaging Services), Dr. Michael Lewis (Environmental Studies), Carolyn Matthews (University Dining Services), Dr. E. Patrick McDermott (Management), Donna Messick (Nabb Research Center), Nichole Morton (Graduate Studies and Research), Priscilla Perry (Physical Plant), Dr. Brian Polkinghorn (Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution), Jennifer Stiegler (Career Services), Michele Webster (Management), Andrew White (Physical Plant), and Dennis White (Information Technology).

Some 147 additional faculty and staff were honored for five to 20 years of service.

In addition, 18 adjunct faculty were honored for at least 10-50 semesters of service. Those with the most service included John Kiser (Leadership and Literacy Studies) with at least 60 semesters, Dr. Thomas Stitcher (Secondary and Physical Education) with at least 45, and Dr. Patricia Dean (Early and Elementary Education) with at least 40.
